The construction of this ladder is all aluminum to keep it light weight. The uprights are double layered 1/4 aluminum to make them super rigid. Westcott realized with all the ladders on the market they just did not have large enough steps, so they took it to the next level by putting in a 1”x 2” step to reassure a solid step every time. Each step has tracks in it to allow for additional attachment points. This ladder is the most solid mounting ladder on the market!

Note: with the additional weight of this ladder and depending on both how old your rear factory struts are and the climate you are in, it is recommended to upgrade your rear hatch struts to a pair of heavy duty ones.
